Since its release, our powerful WebRTC Video Call Center (VCC) has been at the center of a campaign to increase access to remote services across many industries. We’ve talked at length about its dynamic set of features and functionality that allow it to seamlessly integrate into or expand existing workflows and how its focus on high quality and high security makes it the perfect tool for even the most sensitive/private services (doctor visits, banking, etc.)
Well, now we have the perfect customer integration to prove it!
Over the past year, Compunetix teamed up with fellow Pittsburgh-based business, Touchtown, a software company focused on community engagement in senior living communities, to integrate Video Call Center into their Community Apps platform. The Community Apps platform is an intuitive tool built to enable seniors to easily engage with each other and with the community in which they live.
Touchtown Community Apps encourages residents to maintain independence and age successfully. The interactive platform is easily accessible via the web on a computer or through a mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. Residents use the app to see everything going on in the community from one convenient location.
Community apps previously enable residents to search dining menus for their favorite foods, connect easily to neighbors with similar hobbies, interests, and backgrounds, and access floor plans to help resident get acclimated to their new home. With the added functionality of Video Call Center, this engagement platform now also offers expanded access to additional services and activities via Video Concierge for Community Apps, including:
- Telehealth consults with on-site care providers or physicians
- Wellness assessments with fitness instructors or physical and occupational therapists
- Face-to-face virtual conversations with administrators & staff
- Remotely connect with family and friends
You may be wondering what Video Call Center offers that makes it so well positioned to meet the unique requirements of each of these services. Here are a few key features:
- HIPAA compliant
- Support for HD video connections
- No downloads or application installation required
- Video call transfer & multiparty conference capabilities
- User-friendly & brandable interface
- Highly secure with encrypted media & data connectivity
- Mobile access (phones, tablets, PC)
- WebRTC-based

While the integration was originally planned for a later release, due to COVID-19, Touchtown recognized the immediate need for the added functionality and, together, we worked quickly to make it happen. With its dynamic capabilities, easy deployment, and branding, Compunetix was able to quickly deploy VCC, allowing Touchtown to immediately expand access to a wide range of unique and essential services to their communities.
Through this integration we can finally see just how far the extensive engineering of Video Call Center can go. From meeting a range of crucial security and reliability standards, to having the dynamic capabilities needed to support multiple unique services from a single, user-friendly platform, Video Call Center is redefining the limits of remote communication and services. We’re very excited about this integration with Touchtown and the difference it will make in the communities they serve!
