Australian Navy First to Install Compunetix 4-STAR

This past November, the Royal Australian Navy Tracking and Telemetry Mobile Range (TTMR) upgraded their voice communications link between their mobile tracking site (trucks) and the RAAF Woomera Range Complex with the use of Compunetix 4-STAR.

4-STAR

The 4-STAR replaces 4 devices previously used to extend voice communications over a satellite IP link between the Woomera Range and the over the horizon mobile site, thus increasing reliability, easing troubleshooting, and reducing sparing costs. The mobile tracking site is responsible for telemetry gathering and flight termination of missiles under test and reliable communication is critical.
